Our little gem to celebrate Faber-Castell

We’re big fans of all things involving the following:

1) pencils

2) anything fancy

3) celebrations / anniversaries

4) anything old (especially if it’s fancy)

5) fancy, old, pencil anniversaries

So it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that we’re super excited to have a Limited Edition Wood Case from the world’s oldest and largest manufacturer of wood-cased pencils, Faber-Castell. To mark their 250th anniversary (dang.) the company released only 1,761 of these sweet babies…and we’ve got one!

Come by the store and “ooh” and “ahh” at it with us. Seriously, we’ve been doing that a lot.

Sam Flax shout out in the WSJ!

As part of their rundown of what makes “The New New South” so great, the Wall Street Journal tapped Sam Flax as the hot spot for paper and such. We’re flattered (but, let’s be real, not exactly shocked! Everyone knows we love paper to an almost unhealthy degree. We might need help.)

sam flax atlanta is throwing a big party the big man’s birthday.

This is going to be an amazing night–MINT Gallery is a 501(c)3 non-profit art gallery in Old Fourth Ward Atlanta. Everything they touch turns to awesome. We’re all fevered and excited to be having a big, fabulous party there on March 19th, at 8pm.
Even better? MINT’s new location is smack up against a beautiful stretch of the BeltLine, so we’re going to be taking this shindig outdoors! Food, drinks, music–we would love to see your pretty face. Remember to wear your white because, well, that’s what we’re doing

If you’ve been in Atlanta for more than 5 minutes, you know that Sam Flax is the place for all art and design supplies, paper (so much paper!), office furniture, framing, and basically everything else to sooth that creative itch.

if you google “creative itch”, this baby comes up. clearly, he needs to make something. we can help you, baby.
